At the Foot of the Cross

Hi!

A song that has my heart is this one - I thought I was making myself more beautiful and attractive with worldly things, but in _reality_ I was crashing, burning, and accumulating ashes. Why am I able to trade these ashes in for beauty?  And why, when I wear forgiveness like a crown, do I feel so free?  Because I have a precious Savior meeting me at the foot of the cross, and He is risen indeed!

"Choir" Voice of Yamaha DGX-530

There is something magical emanating from the sound of voices singing together.  Though it's digitalized on this portable electronic grand piano, the "Choir" voice sounds beautiful!   One of my fave things:  the keys on the right sound like female voices and the left like male voices...as the notes move toward middle C, the voices sound androgynous and mystical..I want to describe the sound as transcendental...  The peacefulness I feel when listening reminds me of how I feel listening to Celtic Woman . (Technical frustration:  Blogger isn't letting me upload the video from my phone - rather, below video went from phone --> computer --> Blogger!)

Candied Pecans

While I was preparing the "Community" lesson for Junior Achievement , I decided I wanted candied pecans.  Usually, I like them accompanied by spinach and fruit, but I don't have spinach, and though I have fruit, I know candied pecans taste good on their own.   So I made a few with honey and cinnamon on a pan. Yep.  Just a few.  Yep.  I was still hungry.
