Ta-ta-ta-ta-hoe!

I went to Tahoe twice this season!  They were perfect weekends!

 Here is the Treetop Adventure Course (obstacle course with zip-lining!) at Granlibakken Resort!  It costs $45 for a three-hour session (I did 4 obstacle courses in that time!).  Bring sturdy shoes, a pair of thin gloves, and a brave heart!

 Here is the lovely campfire seating area at Squaw!  There are delicious Belgian waffle and crepe carts behind the camera :)

 Here is the view from one of the cable cars at Squaw!  You can see Lake Tahoe on the left behind the mountains!

Roasted Kabocha Squash

I'll admit now that I don't usually measure ingredients.  But I err on the healthy side. Kabocha squash!  I know, I know, it's a fall/winter squash and it's summer.  I guess you can see how much I like kabocha.   1          kabocha squash 1 tbsp  liquid coconut oil             salt             pepper Heat oven to 400 degrees F.  Chop up kabocha (I use a cleaver.  Make sure your knife is sharp, because kabocha is hard to cut) into slices.  Toss in a bowl with coconut oil, salt, and pepper.  Roast for 30 minutes, flipping them over at the 15 minute point. It's delicious and filling!!  Even K who doesn't like coconuts liked it.  K said it smelled like butter :D

Extra Clothes!!

In anticipation of a quick and easy move to another city, I've started following the minimalism subreddit.   It's easy to identify that I, like many other men and women, have more clothes than I need.  I love pinning outfits to the "My Style" board on Pinterest, and it's not helping.    Project 333  provides an interesting challenge to build a 33-piece wardrobe.  I've started sorting out clothes today and am very excited about what the future holds, but that's not what this post is about.  Hm, this is 14 things, but I do work 5/7 of the week... This post is about what to do with the extra clothes:  donate or sell?! Haiku

Hi everyone! Here is a low-maintenance way to keep an eye on some things I'm doing in my life. Here's the history to the name of the blog: At the Department of Mathematics' Commencement Ceremony, it is a tradition for students to write his or her "Future Plans" and have this be read aloud while he or she walks across the stage.  Partly because I prefer(red? I am  starting this blog) a little anonymity and partly because I cherish a good joke, I enlisted the help of a most-poetic friend to help me come up with a playful "Future Plan."  During Spring Break, we wrote potential words on Post-Its and came up with this haiku: Trav'ling whisperer: Lacking sound...waning silence Yearning to claim seas Have a haiku to share?
